For eligible students who graduate from Wyoming High Schools, the Hathaway Scholarship program provides $800–$1,600 in support per semester to qualifying undergraduates. Also, for all students (both in and out of state), the University provides many other merit based scholarships.
The Department also has over a million dollars of endowment that are used for merit based undergraduate scholarships. This endowment results in the dispersal of $20,000–$40,000 per year depending on financial market conditions.
